With a love for historical architecture and timeless interiors, our office was inspired when this vibrant young family approached us to help with their home remodel and addition. As their kids had approached young adulthood, there was a desire for more space both for their family to have fun, but also for a larger Principal suite where the couple could escape and relax. The challenge at hand was to add on an additional 4,200 square feet to the existing 4000 square foot home, while  seamlessly blending the original construction with the large-scale addition to keep the design aesthetics consistent throughout the home. To achieve this, we were mindful of choices made in regards to paint colors, wallcovering selections, finishes and fixtures. The family  also had a few key heirlooms they wanted to incorporate into the design such as their grandfather's writing desk and antique upright piano, both of which had been passed down for generations. Our interior design goal was to create a classic family friendly home that would stylistically transcend time.
